Elections in Nakuru aborted as Anthony ‘Jamal’ Ombok was re-elected Boxing Federation of Kenya (BFK) Kisumu branch chairman yesterday.
The branch elections in Nakuru could not continue as competing candidates could not agree on the list of delegates who were supposed to vote in the polls.
“We cannot allow non compliant clubs to vote in these elections. Since when did we have over 30 clubs in Nakuru,” asked Sombea Boxing Club chairman Martin Luther who wanted to be elected the branch chairman.
Luther, who was set to take on incumbent chairman Isaac Mbote for the top seat in the branch elections said Nakuru was only able to produce a maximum of 13 clubs eligible to vote in the polls but not more.
